THE THREE ORDERS, 2017

THE THREE ORDERS IS A VIDEO GAME THAT I MADE AS MY GRADUATION PROJECT FOR THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF ART IN JULY 2017.

THE GAME CONSISTS OF A SPACE, AN ENDLESS MAZE THAT THE VIEWER COULD WALK THROUGH WITH A REMOTE. 

THE SPACE HAS AN INSIDE AND AN OUTSIDE. OUTSIDE THERE ARE PLANTS AND TREES BUT INSIDE THERE IS A REPETITION OF NOTHINGNESS. 

THE VIEWER BECOMES THE FIRST PERSON BUT IS UNDER A GAZE, HE IS AWARE OF THAT THERE IS A CERTAIN NARRATIVE AND A CERTAIN WAY THROUGH THE SPACE AND THAT THERE IS ALWAYS THIS QUESTION OF A FREE WILL. 

THE GAME IS MADE TO QUESTION THE MODERN STATE OF PARANOIA WHERE THE HUMAN IS NOT HIS OWN MASTER BUT IS ORGANISED ELSEWHERE AND IS CONSTRUCTED BY AN UNCONSCIOUS SOCIAL LAW WHERE THE OUTSIDE IS UNATTAINABLE AND THE INSIDE IS MORE FRAGMENTED AND EMPTY THAN EVER.
